Poor Zula. Every time she turns around there's that
weird, scaly, smelly... THING the minstrel brought home one stormy night and
named Sapphire. It scares her to death, waking her up with rude sniffing,
snuffling and... ugh! LICKING! And then, of all the audacity... it wants to
PLAY with her?? Not in any of her nine lives!

This image was inspired by watching my
ferrets try oh so hard to get my cat to play with them. She hates them and
they just want to play SO badly. I was playing around with F-Stop and depth
of field on the camera a bit to keep from having to do as much post work and
layering. I also played with the lights a bit with a reasonable amount of
success. I took it over into Photoshop Elements to get the more painterly
look for it.
