Ah yes! My love of Shakespeare at work in my art! "A Midsummer Night's Dream" is special to me because it's the one piece of Shakespeare I actually got to be a part of in front of an actual, live audience. Amusingly enough, as big as I am, I was cast as the faerie "Cobweb" (even funnier, I was the same height as the guy playing Oberon). I did my own make-up for it and ended up the most photographed faerie in the production. It was definitely a blast despite having to climb up to a 12 ft high platform in the pitch dark (SCARY!) for several scenes. Anyway... I decided I wanted to do Titania and Oberon pictures one night after sitting back and remembering how much fun I had. This piece was among those that appeared in the Dragon*Con 2002 digital art show. It began as a black and white ink piece.
