  • Originally started: 1/2006

  • Tools: Paint Shop Pro 9 and Wacom graphics tablet

  • Original Inspiration: Reading WAY too much Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter for a long period of time. LOL

  • Other Comments: I don't usually do much in the way of fan art, but I got this idea in my head and it wouldn't shut up until I started working on it. Of course, in typical brain-damaged ADHD fashion, the urge to work on it went quickly. *snicker*

Here the digital sketch is overlaid on the basic color blocking. The pose was modeled from a stock photo. I started obsessing on the hair. (What is it with me and obsessing with that, anyway?!) I'm thinking I may want to work with that hair some more as it might not be curly enough.

The next session I did on this, I decided to work on some other shading while I tried to wrap my brain around trying to get that hair to look more curly without ruining it. This is mostly just rough blocking to give me an idea of what needs to go where.
